WE ARE LORENZO, GAIA, NINA AND GRIGIO

An Italian family, in France since 2023

We grew up in contact with nature among lakes, rivers and forests, places that have forged our character and our propensity for exploration and adventure. We are free spirits, curious and wild souls .

In adulthood, life and work have led us to move away from nature and settle in the city. However, living and working in different contexts has made us grow, we understand what makes us feel good and what makes us happy.

Hungry for freedom, in 2020 we decided to change our lives and look for a place to call home that could truly tell who we are. After three long years of searching made up of joys, hopes, disappointments and tears, we can say that we have finally found it.

We chose France for our life and work project because we think it would best meet our needs: living a quiet life in contact with nature, without straying too far from our roots. We decided to invest savings and time in our fishing lake, a place that makes us happy and that we are happy to share with those who have the same passions as us.

LORENZO

I started hunting and fishing at a very young age with my grandfather Carlo and my uncle Gino. Fishing immediately became a passion. I learnt to tie hooks and roubaisienne fishing at the age of 6. As I grew up, I approached carpfishing, which I have been practising for 18 years.

Over time I have acquired knowledge and refined my technique. Big lakes, rivers and quarries are my passion.

My background as a chemist influences me in almost everything I do, I love precision and working methodically. I’m curious and hungry for knowledge, I never stop at the surface of things.

GAIA

Since I was born, I spent all my summers in Dervio, at Como Lake. I loved sailing with my father and being outdoors all day in contact with nature.

I’m naturally attracted to fresh water, if I see a lake, a river or a stream I have to put my feet in it!

I love animals, I would like to cuddle them all.

I like to cook, but especially to eat. I love colours, textures and illustrations.  I’m passionate about old things because they hold a story.

NINA

I’m a 6-year-old miniatur bullterrier but I think I’m still a puppy.

I’m obsessed with food, I want to eat all day long. I love gnawing on wood, being scratched on my belly and taking naps on the sofa with mum and dad. I love the countryside, the city terrifies me.

I don’t understand why when people see me they are so afraid, maybe it’s my strange banana face and my big teeth that scare them. I don’t know what biting means, if I come close it’s to lick you a little.

GRIGIO

I’m a 1-year-old harlequin Beaucheron. I’m new in the family but they all already love me ..maybe my sister a little less.

I’m afraid of cars and crowded places, noises scare me but at the lake I’m really happy. I have fun, I can run, explore, climb, sniff around, find new treasures to nibble.

I met a lot of new friends this year. I’m a bit shy at first but then I come looking for a cuddle. Don’t be scared, I’m big but very gentle.
